Polishing the Pearl
July 26 - August 4, 2015

Uganda is known for being the Pearl of Africa. Rolling hills and picturesque lakes places her as being one of the most scenic countries on the continent. Her people are equally beautiful and open to the plan and purposes of God. This mission will represent a re-entry for our ministry. We have planted churches, conducted crusades, baptized new converts, trained pastors and women and now excited to re-engage all of those activities. The mission promises to be a life-changing event as God will sovereignly stretch the faith of each missionary to trust Him for supernatural encounters. Our ministry will enter Uganda with expectancy and we are confident that significant results will manifest in advancing God's Kingdom.

We are excited about having an opportunity to share with you the work that God is doing through our ministry partners. We are completing our plans to conduct a dynamic ministry effort to Uganda. This experience in East Africa promises to be life changing for those who will visit the continent for the first time and life fulfilling for those who are participants in pursuing the great commission. This mission trip will take place July 26- August 4, 2015 (there may be a limited number of seats, so it would be wise to reserve your seat now). The total cost of the trip is $3,400.00. An incremental payment schedule is shown below for those who will commit to fulfilling “The Great Commission” with Shalom on this trip. We will provide a mandatory four-hour intensive training program (date and location to be determined) to prepare and brief the team on our mission. Included in the cost is all training, airfare from Washington, DC to Uganda and return, taxes, ground transportation, food and housing.

Visas are required for travel to Uganda and the cost of the visa is independent of the overall trip expense. For information regarding online visa application, visa cost, type of payment accepted, etc., please log onto the Ugandan Embassy website.

This trip promises to be a dynamite start in what we believe will be a mighty move of God in the lives of both the people in Uganda and the missionaries traveling with Shalom. If you would like to participate on this trip, your mission volunteer application form is the first step towards confirming your intent to travel with us. Please return your completed application with a copy of your passport, two passport size color photographs and your $500.00 non-refundable deposit.

If you do not have a valid passport, please visit U.S. Department of State to learn how to obtain or renew your passport.

Additionaly, please visit the Center for Disease Control to get information regarding inoculations you will need to travel, or check with your doctor.
